Managing Partner Xinwei ZHAO was selected by All China Lawyers Association as Leading Elite PRC Lawy

By interview and strict selection among 238 Elite PRC Lawyers Specializing in Foreign-related Matters, Ms. ZHAO, the managing partner of HiHonor Law Firm, was selected as one of the 20 lawyers to attend the US Training Course organized by the All China Lawyers Association (ACLA) on the Legal Practice of International M&A and Trans-national Investment at Temple University in Philadelphia, USA.


The duration of the US training course was five weeks, starting on 30th October 2016 and concluding in early December 2016.  The first three weeks of the course covered various areas of American and international law including: Contract law, Constitutional law, Corporate Governance, Cyber Security, M&A, Intellectual Property issues in cross-border transactions, Competition Law, Global Anti-Corruption and Privacy Law, Bankruptcy Law, Corporate Finance, Criminal Law, International Arbitration and skills for business negotiation. In the final two weeks, Ms. ZHAO attended numerous legal practice activities, such as hearings in the civil and criminal courts of Pennsylvania, visiting the arbitration center, Superior Court of Pennsylvania, Court of Chancery of Delaware, the prominent ADR provider JAMS as well as a number of well-known American law firms.


This was the second-time Ms. ZHAO was recognized as a leading Elite PRC Lawyer Specializing in Foreign-related Matters and invited to attend a training course abroad concentrating on outbound investment and dispute resolution.  In 2014, Ms. ZHAO was selected by All China Lawyers Association to attend a two-month training course at Garrigues Centre of Stud in Madrid, Spain.  She also took the opportunity to visit the EU Parliament and EU Commission in Brussels in the final week, through which she gained better understanding of EU law in the fields of Energy, Tax, IP, M&A, Real Estate, as well as the different court systems, international arbitration and ADR in Spain and Europe.


The overseas training course attended by Ms. ZHAO advanced our lawyers’ understanding of foreign culture and the legal framework of foreign investment.  It also enabled HiHonor to improve and expand the services to clients at home and abroad.
