On November 15, 2024, the 3^rd Northeast Asia International Commercial Dispute Resolution Conference was held in Qingdao.

The Conference was hosted by China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC) and China Maritime Arbitration Qingdao Arbitration Center and China Maritime Arbitration Northeast Asia International Arbitration Center. The Conference was attended by more than 300 guests from business community, government agencies, legal practitioners and academic institutions from Singapore, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Russia.

The Summit was aiming to advance collaboration in dispute resolution services within Northeast Asia to facilitate the high-quality development of the regional economy. With the continuous deepening of regional exchanges in Northeast Asia, arbitration and other internationally accepted dispute resolution methods have become the basic guarantee for cross-border business cooperation, playing positive role in promoting the rapid resolution of international economic and trade disputes, reducing the cost of dispute resolution, and promoting the steady development of regional economic and trade investment.

The topics of the Summit covered the strengthening of China's judicial support for arbitration, the determination and achievements of the construction and development of international arbitration centers, the reform and improvement of China's foreign-related arbitration judicial review, the recognition and enforcement of international arbitration awards in Northeast Asia, and the cooperation and prospects of the Republic of Korea, Russia, Singapore, Japan, Macau and other countries and regions in international commercial arbitration.

Erik Widjaja, partner from Allen & Gledhill LLP law firm of Singapore (the speaker for Singapore at the roundtable session of the Conference), visited HiHonor law firm prior to the Conference.
